There was no surprise in Izmir where 18th ranked Nevsehir Uni (4-21) was outplayed by twelfth ranked Urla BLD (12-13) 71-48 on Wednesday. Urla BLD made 17-of-18 free shots (94.4 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Nevsehir Uni turnovers and outrebounded them 45-28 including a 30-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Ukrainian center Olena Staschuk (192-85) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 15 rebounds for the winners and center Berrin Karabas (190-87) chipped in 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Coach 's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side American power forward Patricia Bright (193-91, college: Oregon St., agency: LBM Management) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds and Melis Eren (-93) scored 9 points. Urla BLD moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Orduspor and Ferko Ilgaz. Nevsehir Uni lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the eighteenth position with 21 games lost. Urla BLD will face Istanbulgucu (#16) at home in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Nevsehir Uni will play against 55 Genclik and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
