Regular Season Round 25: Orduspor - Ormanspor 61-100

Everything went according to plan when second ranked Ormanspor (21-4) outscored on the road 10th ranked Orduspor (12-13) 100-61 on Wednesday. Ormanspor dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Orduspor's 26. They outrebounded Orduspor 48-16 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Ormanspor looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Orduspor's players. Nigerian-American center Aisha Mohammed (191-85, college: Virginia) stepped up and scored 26 points and 9 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) for the winners and Pelin Kuccuk (172-90) chipped in 20 points. Coach Furkan Saglik's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side Sumeyya Ozcan responded with 28 points and forward Doga Comba (185-94) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Ormanspor. They maintain second place with 21-4 record behind leader Bornova. Loser Orduspor keeps the tenth position with 13 games lost. Ormanspor will face Izmit (#4) at home in the next round. Orduspor will play against Mersin Kurtulus (#17) and hope to win that game and get promotion back to the KBSL just one year after relegation.
