There was a minor upset when 7th ranked SG BBZ Opladen (8-10) lost to ninth ranked TuSLi Berlin (7-11) in Leverkusen 59-69 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by TuSLi Berlin. SG BBZ Opladen was better in third quarter 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding SG BBZ Opladen to just 4 points in fourth quarter. It was a good game for center Nyara Sabally (185-0) who led her team to a victory with 24 points and 9 rebounds. Annalena Blume (180-96) contributed with 10 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Canadian guard Jill Stratton (180-91) replied with 13 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Nicola Happel (164-92) added 16 points in the effort for SG BBZ Opladen. TuSLi Berlin have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to eighth place in North, which they share with B.Loewen. Loser SG BBZ Opladen dropped to the sixth position with ten games lost. TuSLi Berlin will face Barmer TV (#12) in Wuppertal in the next round.
