Second Stage Round 12: Suduva-Mantinga - Perlas-MRU 95-74

NKL top team - Suduva-Mantinga (29-7) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed fifth ranked Perlas-MRU (20-16) in Marijampole 95-74. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Perlas-MRU. The game was mostly controlled by Suduva-Mantinga. Perlas-MRU managed to win fourth quarter 20-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Suduva-Mantinga made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Dominykas Domarkas (190-92) who scored 20 points. Guard Evaldas Saulys (190-93) chipped in 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Suduva-Mantinga players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Arnas Berucka (195-97) who recorded 25 points and 7 rebounds and guard Margiris Normantas (193-96) added 15 points respectively. Perlas-MRU's coach Arvydas Gronskis gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Suduva-Mantinga maintains first position with 29-7 record. Loser Perlas-MRU keeps the fifth place with 16 games lost. Suduva-Mantinga will meet Rasai (#4) in the next round. Perlas-MRU will play against Silute and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
