TKBL top team - Bornova (23-3) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed nineteenth ranked Anadolu Univ. (1-25) in Eskisehir 77-52. Bornova made 23-of-30 charity shots (76.7 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Anadolu Univ. turnovers and outrebounded them 40-24 including a 31-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. American center Chanita Jordan (196-87, college: Bowie St., agency: Gamble Sports Management) notched a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international guard Esra Sencebe (173-81) supported her with 14 points and 6 assists. Five Bornova players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 24 points and 13 rebounds by American center Marie Malone (189-89, college: Hofstra) did not help to save the game for Anadolu Univ.. Beratiye Demir (-94) added 9 points for the hosts. Bornova maintains first position with 23-3 record. Anadolu Univ. lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the nineteenth place with 25 games lost. Bornova will play against league's second-placed Ormanspor in Ankara in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Anadolu Univ. will play on the road against Istanbulgucu (#16) to get more than just one victory in their record.
