They outrebounded Izmit 46-25 including a 32-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Nigerian-American center Aisha Mohammed (191-85, college: Virginia) had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 19 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Nihan Demirkol (172-92, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 10 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. American center Whitney Jones (183-87, college: Arkansas, agency: LBM Management) responded with 13 points and 7 rebounds and guard Oya Salter (170-76) scored 13 points and 6 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ormanspor have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 22-4 record behind leader Bornova. Newly promoted Izmit dropped to the fifth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Mersin Univ.. Ormanspor are looking forward to face league's leader Bornova on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Izmit will play against Mersin Kurtulus (#17) and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
