Regular Season Round 20: Rostock - Bochum 87-75

There was a surprise result when ninth ranked Rostock (9-11) won against at home higher ranked AstroStars (11-9) 87-75 on Saturday. Rostock made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. AstroStars were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American point guard Jarvis Davis (183-91, college: Gardner-Webb) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). Naturalized Spanish center Daniel Lopez (206-86) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Rostock's coach Ralf Rehberger allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Center Michael Haucke (210-85) replied with 16 points and forward Alexander Angerer (203-96) added 16 points in the effort for AstroStars. Four AstroStars players scored in double figures. Rostock moved-up to seventh place in North, which they share with Itzehoe. AstroStars lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with nine games lost. Rostock will face higher ranked Oldenburg (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. AstroStars will play against Herzoege Wolfenbuettel and hope to win that game.
