Regular Season Round 19: Khimik-2 - KPZO DYUSH 83-56

Everything went according to plan in Yuzhny where second ranked Khimik-2 (19-5) outleveled bottom-ranked KPZO DYUSH (0-21) 83-56 on Saturday. The game without a history. Khimik-2 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding KPZO DYUSH to just 5 points in first quarter. Khimik-2 dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to KPZO DYUSH's 24. Khimik-2 forced 21 KPZO DYUSH turnovers and had a 22-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Point guard Kyrylo Meshheryakov (184-95) fired 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Guard Anwar Rakhimshaikov (188-97) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Oleksandr Kuznetsov (196-78) produced 17 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Yuriy Strizhevskiy (180-92) added 8 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the tenth consecutive win for Khimik-2. They keep a position of league leader. KPZO DYUSH lost their twenty first game in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with 21 games lost.
