Everything went according to plan when eighth ranked Friendsfactory Germering (7-9) outplayed at home 11th ranked ASC Theresianum Mainz (2-15) 68-47 on Sunday. The game without a history. Friendsfactory Germering led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Friendsfactory Germering forced 28 ASC Theresianum Mainz turnovers and outrebounded them 39-27 including 24 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for the former international Anne Delafosse (184-84) who led her team to a victory with 22 points. Point guard Nicole Schmidt (168-89) contributed with 12 points for the winners. Friendsfactory Germering's coach Ruediger Wichote felt very confident using 11 players saving starting five for next games. Naturalized Bulgarian guard Gergana Georgieva (181-87) replied with 11 points and forward Sunniva Ferri (181-97) added 8 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for ASC Theresianum Mainz. Friendsfactory Germering moved-up to sixth place in South, which they share with Speyer and Weiterstadt. ASC Theresianum Mainz lost eighth consecutive game.
