Regular Season Round 14: Blyskavky - HAI 77-50

Rather predictable result in Vinnytsia where fifth ranked Blyskavky (10-8) smashed 7th ranked HAI (4-14) 77-50. The game without a history. Blyskavky led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to HAI's 30. Blyskavky forced 26 HAI turnovers and outrebounded them 53-37 including a 25-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The former international power forward Tetyana Yurkevicius (187-95) notched a double-double by scoring 20 points, 20 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals to lead the effort and forward Tetyana Lysenko (180-93) supported her with 13 points and 8 rebounds. Four Blyskavky players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds by international center Oleksandra Chek (191-93) did not help to save the game for HAI. Valeriya Proskurina (173-98) added 8 points for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Blyskavky moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Suzirja. HAI at the other side keeps the seventh position with 14 games lost. Blyskavky will play against bottom-ranked Tavriyska Zivka (#9) in Kherson in the next round where they are favorite. HAI will play at home against Dynamo-NPU and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
