Regular Season Round 19: Ovarense - CD Torres N. 64-58

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked Ovarense and 9th ranked CD Torres N. had identical 3-12 record. This time Ovarense used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Torres Novas 64-58. Strangely CD Torres N. outrebounded Ovarense 57-23 including a 23-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Ana Raimundo (167-93) who led the winners and scored 17 points and 4 assists. Point guard Gabriela Raimundo (167-93) accounted for 20 points for the winning side. Turkish power forward Aline De-Moura (185-97) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 21 rebounds (made all of her seven free throws) and Brazilian forward Gabriela De-Paula (180-96) added 23 points and 16 rebounds respectively for CD Torres N. in the defeat. Ovarense (4-12) moved-up to ninth place. CD Torres N. lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the tenth position with 13 games lost. Ovarense will play against higher ranked GDESSA (#7) in Barreiro in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. CD Torres N. will play at home against Uniao Sportiva and hopes to get back on the winning track.
