Regular Season Round 21: Oliveirense - Sampaense 74-53

The game between fourth ranked Oliveirense (15-6) and 12th ranked Sampaense (3-18) in Oliveira ended with biggest points difference. Oliveirense outscored guests from Coimbra 74-53. Oliveirense dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Sampaense's 30. Oliveirense forced 24 Sampaense turnovers and outrebounded them 42-26 including a 17-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Spanish power forward Sergi Coll (204-82) stepped up and scored 11 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and American power forward Justin Reynolds (206-88, college: Texas A&M-CC) chipped in 7 points and 8 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American guard Andrew Guillory (190, college: Arkansas Tech) with 12 points, 5 assists and 4 steals and the other American import guard Devin Martin (193, college: Md-E Shore, agency: SDJ Sports) scored 13 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Oliveirense moved-up to third place, which they share with Vitoria SC. Newly promoted Sampaense stay at the bottom position with 18 games lost. They share it with Maia Basket. Oliveirense will play against Ovarense (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Sampaense will play against Lusitania (#9) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
