No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Ovarense (10-11) beat on the road 11th ranked Maia Basket (3-18) 72-62. They outrebounded Maia Basket 46-26 including a 37-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. American point guard Nick Novak (182-90, college: Pitt-Johnstown) stepped up and scored 19 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners and forward Joao Fernandes (198-94) chipped in 14 points and 14 rebounds. Four Ovarense players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Nuno Marcal (205-75) with 26 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Pedro Catarino (184-90) scored 14 points. Ovarense maintains eighth place with 10-11 record. Maia Basket lost their seventh game in a row. Maia Basket at the other side keeps the eleventh position with 18 games lost.
