The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Weissenhorn Youngstars (14-6) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were edged by eleventh ranked USC Leipzig (7-13) 87-86. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Weissenhorn Youngstars. Darian Cardenas (198-95) saved the victory by scoring 26 points. Forward Sascha Leutloff (202-82) contributed with 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four USC Leipzig players scored in double figures. Power forward Nils Mittmann (201-79) replied with 20 points and 7 rebounds and Hungarian point guard Marcell Pongo (194-97) added 17 points and 7 assists in the effort for Weissenhorn Youngstars. Weissenhorn Youngstars' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. USC Leipzig moved-up to tenth place in South, which they share with Licher Baeren. Weissenhorn Youngstars at the other side dropped to the second position with six games lost. They share it with Karlsruhe PS. USC Leipzig is looking forward to face higher ranked Fraport Skyliners II (#9) in Frankfurt in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Weissenhorn Youngstars will play on the road against the league's leader Karlsruhe PS (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
