Very expected game when 10th ranked Electrico FC (4-17) lost to third ranked Vitoria SC (15-6) in Ponte de Sor 71-77. Strangely Electrico FC outrebounded Vitoria SC 53-31 including a 24-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. They brought some defensive toughness making 9 blocks. American guard Andrew Ferry (190-90, college: Cornell) stepped up and scored 20 points for the winners and the former international point guard Pedro Pinto (188-88) chipped in 11 points and 6 assists. Vitoria SC's coach Fernando Sa allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was swingman Joao Lanzinha (191-89) with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists and Cape Verdean forward Kevin Coronel (197-91) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds. Four Electrico FC players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Vitoria SC. They maintain third place with 15-6 record having just three points less than leader FC Porto, which they share with Oliveirense. Electrico FC lost their sixth game in a row.
