There was no surprise when 5th ranked Vienna (10-11) was defeated on the road by second ranked Gmunden Swans (16-6) 83-71 on Monday. The game was mostly controlled by Gmunden Swans. Vienna managed to win third quarter 26-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was international forward Enis Murati (194-88, agency: Octagon Europe) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists. American-British guard Michael Ojo (195-89, college: Lehigh) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds. American point guard Anthony Clemmons (186-94, college: Iowa) produced 24 points and the former international guard Stjepan Stazic (199-78) added 15 points and 6 assists respectively for the guests. Gmunden Swans have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 16-6 record behind leader Oberwart. Vienna at the other side keeps the fifth position with 11 games lost. Gmunden Swans will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Vienna will play at home against Kapfenberg Bulls (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
