No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Elazig (16-11) defeated on the road 11th ranked Orduspor (12-15) 68-61 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was American power forward Sharon Houston (191-88, college: IU Northwest, agency: Gamble Sports Management) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 17 rebounds. Esen Ozdemir (-89) chipped in 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Jamaican-American power forward Yanique Gordon (193-91, college: Cent.Florida) who recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds and guard Tugce Kanat (173-85) added 12 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Four Orduspor players scored in double figures. Elazig maintains eighth place with 16-11 record. Orduspor lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth position with 15 games lost. Elazig will face higher ranked Izmit (#6) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
