No shocking result in a game in Kedainiai where sixth ranked Vytautas (13-11) defeated 9th ranked Nevezis (5-19) 96-87 on Saturday. Vytautas made 25-of-29 free shots (86.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 22 Nevezis turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Arturas Valeika (207-85, college: Midland CC) who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and forward Saulius Kulvietis (206-91) who added 24 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four Vytautas players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Jermaine Love-Roberts (188-89, college: Ill.-Springfield) with 22 points and 4 assists and forward Paulius Petrilevicius (200-91) scored 22 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Vytautas have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Neptunas. Nevezis lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 19 games lost. Vytautas will meet at home P.Zvaigzdes (#7) in the next round. Nevezis will play against Siauliai and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
