Regular Season Round 21: Itzehoe - Art.Dragons 77-71

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Artland Dragons (14-7) against seventh ranked Itzehoe (10-11) on Saturday night. Visiting Artland Dragons were defeated by Itzehoe in a tough game in Itzehoe 71-77. They made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Itzehoe outrebounded Artland Dragons 52-31 including a 20-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Kaimyn Pruitt (203-90, college: Adams St.) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 22 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Frederik Henningsen (198-88) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. Itzehoe's coach Patrick Elzie used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Gregory Graves (201-93, college: Mt.St.Mary's) who recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and naturalized American point guard Matthew Reid (185-84, college: Cameron, agency: Octagon Europe) added 12 points and 6 assists respectively. Four Itzehoe and five Artland Dragons players scored in double figures. Itzehoe maintains seventh place in North with 10-11 record. Loser Artland Dragons keep the second position with seven games lost. They share it with Oldenburg. Itzehoe will meet at home SC Rist Wedel (#8) in the next round. Artland Dragons will play against Schalke (#6) and hope to secure a win.
