Very expected game when 11th ranked ASC Theresianum Mainz (2-16) was defeated at home by second ranked Don Bosco Bamberg (13-5) 59-44 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Don Bosco Bamberg. ASC Theresianum Mainz was better in fourth quarter 13-7. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Don Bosco Bamberg dominated on the defensive end, holding ASC Theresianum Mainz to just 7 points in third and fourth quarters. Don Bosco Bamberg forced 19 ASC Theresianum Mainz turnovers. It was a great evening for American power forward Tori Waldner (196-93, college: Penn St.) who led her team to a victory scoring 8 points and 10 rebounds. Don Bosco Bamberg maintains second place in South with 13-5 record having just five point less than leader Wolfenbuettel. ASC Theresianum Mainz lost their ninth game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with 16 games lost. Don Bosco Bamberg will have a break next round.
