Regular Season Round 19: TuSLi Berlin - Barmer TV 69-49

Date: February 25, 2017
Not a big story in a game in Lichterfelde where 12th ranked Barmer TV (2-17) was rolled over by ninth ranked TuSLi Berlin (8-11) 69-49 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by TuSLi Berlin. Barmer TV was better in second period 12-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for center Nyara Sabally (185-0) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds. Center Julia Sandow (182-88) helped adding 17 points. TuSLi Berlin's coach Alexandra Maerz used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the losing side point guard Seraphina Asuamah-Kofoh (160-99) responded with 11 points and 5 assists and Argentinian-Italian forward Florencia Palacios (183-85, agency: SPORTlab Agency) scored 3 points and 8 rebounds. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for TuSLi Berlin. They moved-up to seventh place in North, which they share with Gruenberg. Barmer TV lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the twelfth position with 17 games lost. TuSLi Berlin will face higher ranked Osnabruck SC (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Barmer TV will play against B.Loewen (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
