Regular Season Round 19: Hannover - Donau-Ries 79-71

Date: February 26, 2017
There was no surprise when 10th ranked TH Wohnbau Angels (6-13) were defeated on the road by seventh ranked Hannover (9-10) 79-71. The hosts were already 12 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 18-14 TH Wohnbau Angels' run in the last quarter cut the lead to 79-71 at the end of the game. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Stefanie Grigoleit (186-89) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. American Melissa Jeltema (175-88, college: Oakland) contributed with 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Hannover players scored in double figures. Canadian forward Kim Pierre-Louis (183-93, college: Massachusetts) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and American guard Jennifer Schlott (168-91, college: Utah St., agency: LBM Management) added 24 points in the effort for TH Wohnbau Angels. Hannover moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Bad Aibling. TH Wohnbau Angels lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Freiburg. Hannover will play against bottom-ranked Rotenburg/Scheessel (#12) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. TH Wohnbau Angels will play against the league's second-placed Gruner Stern Keltern and hope to get back on the winning track.
