Regular Season Round 19: Darussafaka - Trabzonspor 82-79

Eleventh-ranked Trabzonspor (7-12) made lots of trouble for fifth ranked Darussafaka (13-6) in Istanbul on Monday. Darussafaka managed to secure only three-point victory 82-79. However their fans expected much easier game. It was a great evening for French Adrien Moerman (202-88) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Brad Wanamaker (193-89, college: Pittsburgh) helped adding 19 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Darussafaka's coach David Blatt used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side American point guard Stefan Moody (179-93, college: Mississippi) responded with 16 points and 5 assists and the other American import Malcolm Lee (196-90, college: UCLA) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Five Trabzonspor players scored in double figures. Darussafaka maintains fifth place with 13-6 record. Trabzonspor at the other side keeps the eleventh position with 12 games lost. They share it with Istanbul BBSK. Darussafaka will meet league's leader Fenerbahce in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Trabzonspor will play against Galatasaray (#6) and hope to secure a win.
