Regular Season Round 20: Amager - Stevnsgade 73-70

The most exciting game of round 20 in the Dameligaen took place in Kastrup. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked Stevnsgade (7-10) to third ranked Amager (8-8) 73-70 on Tuesday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Stevnsgade. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 17-12 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Catharina Jensen (182-89) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Filipino-American forward Kelly Hardeman (183-94, college: Azusa Pacific) who added 21 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. The former international guard Ida Pretzmann (178-90, college: TCU) responded with 16 points and American forward Cherelle Moore (183-93, college: Hartford) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Amager maintains third position with 8-8 record having eight points less than leader Virum. Stevnsgade at the other side keeps the fifth place with ten games lost. Amager are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Aabyhoj (#7) on the road in the next round. Stevnsgade will play against the league's leader Virum and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
