Very predictable result when fourth ranked Cankaya (21-6) rolled over 13th ranked Orduspor (12-16) in Ankara 101-72 on Wednesday. Cankaya forced 31 Orduspor turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Quite impressive performance for American-Azerbaijani center Marcedes-Marie Walker (191-86, college: Pittsburgh) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points and 14 rebounds. Hande Celebi (-90) contributed with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Eyfel Akar (-87) replied with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and Jamaican-American power forward Yanique Gordon (193-91, college: Cent.Florida) added 13 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Orduspor. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Cankaya have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 21-6 record. Orduspor lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth place with 16 games lost. Cankaya will face Izmit (#7) on the road in the next round.
