Regular Season Round 15: DVUFK - Dynamo-NPU 56-81

The game in Dnepropetrovsk supposed to be also worth to mention about. Sixth ranked Dynamo-NPU (11-9) played at the court of 8th ranked DVUFK (1-17). Dynamo-NPU smashed DVUFK 81-56. It looked good early as DVUFK took a 4-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Dynamo-NPU had a 22-16 second period charge getting the lead and DVUFK was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 56-81. They dominated on the defensive end, holding DVUFK to just 2 points in third and fourth quarters. Dynamo-NPU made 25-of-30 charity shots (83.3 percent) during the game, while DVUFK only scored seven points from the stripe. It was an exceptional evening for Nataliia Tsiubyk (178-98) who led the winners and scored 16 points and 9 rebounds. The former international guard Yuliya Lapshynova (177-81) accounted for 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. Swingman Oksana Fastova (173-99) came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and power forward Daryna Dubrovska (190-99) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for DVUFK in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Dynamo-NPU moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Blyskavky. DVUFK lost their ninth game in a row. They keep the eighth position with 17 games lost. Dynamo-NPU's next round opponent will be higher ranked Suzirja (#4) in Rivne and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
