Regular Season Round 17: Grosuplje - Sezana 64-61

The most exciting game of round 17 in the 2SKL took place in Grosuplje. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of second-ranked Sezana (14-3) to third ranked Grosuplje (10-7) 64-61 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Sezana. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Sezana won third quarter 18-10. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Nigerian center Sani Ibrahim (207-82, college: Gulf Coast CC) orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points and 7 rebounds. Point guard Zan Jerman (186-92) contributed with 11 points for the winners. Four Grosuplje players scored in double figures. Grosuplje's coach Predrag Milovic used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Guard Matic Urbas (188-93) answered with 16 points and 5 assists and power forward Vito Furlan (198-90) added 16 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Sezana. Grosuplje have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain third place with 10-7 record having seven points less than leader Ilirija. Sezana at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. Grosuplje are looking forward to face league's leader Ilirija in Ljubljana in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Sezana will play at home against Crnomelj and is hoping to win this game.
