Regular Season Round 20: Rilski - Cherno More 97-94

Seventh-ranked Cherno More (5-13) was very close to win a game against fourth ranked Rilski (11-7) in Samokov. Rilski managed to secure only three-point victory 97-94. However their fans expected easier game. Rilski made 26-of-34 charity shots (76.5 percent) during the game. Rilski outrebounded Cherno More 48-35 including 16 on the offensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Cherno More was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Evan Bruinsma (202-92, college: Detroit Mercy, agency: Inception Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 30 points and 16 rebounds and the former international guard Yordan Bozov (191-79) who added 23 points and 4 assists during the contest. Four Rilski players scored in double figures. Guard Stanislav Tsonkov (192-91) responded with 40 points (!!!) and 4 assists (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field) and Serbian power forward Nikola Djuric (201-91) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Rilski have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 11-7 record. Cherno More lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 13 games lost. Rilski will play against bottom-ranked Levski (#9) in Sofia in the next round where they are favorite. Cherno More will play at home against the league's leader Lukoil Acad. and hopes to get back on the winning track.
