We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 7th ranked Itzehoe (10-12) was defeated at home by eighth ranked SC Rist Wedel (10-12) 84-80 on Saturday. SC Rist Wedel made 24-of-29 free shots (82.8 percent) during the game. Itzehoe was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Guard Steffen Kiese (190-87) fired a double-double by scoring 24 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Guard Rene Kindzeka (185-95, college: Hamburg BC) chipped in 19 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws). Four SC Rist Wedel players scored in double figures. Forward Frederik Henningsen (198-88) produced 27 points (made all of his eight free throws) and American forward Kaimyn Pruitt (203-90, college: Adams St.) added 8 points and 18 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. SC Rist Wedel moved-up to seventh place in North, which they share with Rostock and Itzehoe.
