The game in Leverkusen supposed to be also quite interesting. 5th ranked Krofdorf/Gleib. (10-10) played at the court of sixth ranked SG BBZ Opladen (10-10). SG BBZ Opladen smashed Krofdorf/Gleib. 87-62 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by SG BBZ Opladen. Krofdorf/Gleib. was better in third quarter 21-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. SG BBZ Opladen dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Krofdorf/Gleib.'s 34. American forward Chelsea Small (185, college: Indiana St.) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds and her fellow American import guard Erin Bratcher (175-92, college: Charleston So.) added 22 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. SG BBZ Opladen moved-up to fifth place in North, which they share with defeated Krofdorf/Gleib. SG BBZ Opladen will face Baskets Grunberg (#7) in Gruenberg in the next round. Krofdorf/Gleib. will play at home against Barmer TV and hope to win that game.
