TKBL top team - Bornova (27-3) managed to deliver another win on Sunday. This time they beat eighth ranked Elazig (17-12) 60-50. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Elazig. Bornova forced 23 Elazig turnovers. American center Chanita Jordan (196-87, college: Bowie St., agency: Gamble Sports Management) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 17 rebounds for the winners and the former international guard Esra Sencebe (173-81) chipped in 18 points and 5 assists. American power forward Sharon Houston (191-88, college: IU Northwest, agency: Gamble Sports Management) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 17 rebounds and 4 blocks and Sehernaz Cidal (183-95) scored 9 points. Bornova have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 27-3 record. Elazig at the other side keeps the eighth position with 12 games lost. Bornova are looking forward to face Cankaya (#4) in Ankara in the next round. Elazig will play at home against Anadolu Univ. (#19) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
