Regular Season Round 20: Saarlouis - Marburg 74-78

Round 20 most important game was a victory of BC Pharmaserv Marburg over one of their biggest challengers TV Saarlouis Royals 78-74 on Sunday night. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But TV Saarlouis Royals won third quarter 22-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded TV Saarlouis Royals 43-25 including a 28-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. The former international power forward Svenja Greunke (188-89) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 17 rebounds. American guard Katlyn Yohn (181-91, college: Bradley) contributed with 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Latvian forward Sabine Niedola (184-91) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks and American forward Portia Durrett (185-92, college: Oklahoma) added 18 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for TV Saarlouis Royals. Four TV Saarlouis Royals players scored in double figures. BC Pharmaserv Marburg have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 13-7 record having five points less than leader Wasserburg. TV Saarlouis Royals at the other side keep the fourth place with eight games lost. BC Pharmaserv Marburg are looking forward to face league's leader TSV 1880 Wasserburg at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. TV Saarlouis Royals will play against ChemCats Chemnitz and are hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
