An interesting game took place in Bursa where 4th placed Banvit (15-6) was upset on the court of ninth ranked Tofas (10-11) 88-83. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Banvit. Tofas players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was a good game for Dominican-American swingman Sammy Mejia (198-83, college: De Paul) who led his team to a victory with 25 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. American forward Tony Crocker (200-87, college: Oklahoma) contributed with 21 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Tofas' coach Orhun Ene allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Lithuanian swingman Gediminas Orelik (199-90) answered with 23 points and 6 rebounds and American point guard Jordan Theodore (182-89, college: Seton Hall) added 15 points and 5 assists in the effort for Banvit. Four Banvit players scored in double figures. Tofas moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Gaziantep. Banvit at the other side keeps the fourth position with six games lost. Tofas' next round opponent will be Gaziantep (#8) on the road. Banvit will play against the league's second-placed Anadolu Efes (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
