Regular Season Round 24: Schwabing - Ansbach 87-84

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Schwabing and 10th ranked Ansbach had identical 9-12 record. This time Schwabing used a home court advantage and edged the opponent from Ansbach 87-84 on Saturday night. Schwabing made 26-of-31 free shots (83.9 percent) during the game, while Ansbach only scored ten points from the stripe. Ansbach was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Oscar Da-Silva (207-98) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and Pakistani Salman Manzur (205-96) who added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Paul Nzeocha (192) with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 15 rebounds and American power forward Nick Freer (198-85, college: Grand Valley St.) scored 18 points. Four Schwabing and five Ansbach players scored in double figures. Schwabing (10-12) moved-up to eighth place in South-East, which they share with Rosenheim. Loser Ansbach keeps the tenth position with 13 games lost. Schwabing will face Zwickau (#12) on the road in the next round. Ansbach will play against Vilsbiburg and hope to win that game.
