No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Samsun (15-11) defeated at home 12th ranked Akhisar Bld (10-17) 77-69. Samsun had a 32-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for American forward Mikael Hopkins (206, college: Georgetown) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 16 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard Jerry Smith (188-87, college: Louisville, agency: HMS) contributed with 18 points and 6 assists for the winners. American forward Tyler Smith (200-86, college: Tennessee) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and the former international Reha Oz (200-78) added 21 points in the effort for Akhisar Bld. Newly promoted Samsun maintains eighth place with 15-11 record. Akhisar Bld lost their third game in a row. They keep the twelfth position with 17 games lost. They share it with Yalova Bld. Samsun will play against Mamak DSI (#17) in Ankara in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Akhisar Bld will play at home against Bandirma Kir.
