Regular Season Round 24: Cuxhaven - Vechta II 83-67

Regionalliga top team - RW Cuxhaven (14-3) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they beat fifth ranked Vechta-2 (10-7) 83-67. Worth to mention a quality performance of Croatian point guard Luka Petkovic (190-88) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Serbian-Croatian Sinisa Cvetanovic (205-94) who added 17 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four RW Cuxhaven players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Kazembe Abif (201-92, college: Drexel) with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and Philipp Herkenhoff (207-99) scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. RW Cuxhaven have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position in North with 14-3 record. Loser Vechta-2 keeps the fifth place with seven games lost. RW Cuxhaven will face Hannover Korb. (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Vechta-2 will play against ALBA Berlin II (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
