The game in Oldenburg supposed to be also worth to mention about. Second ranked Brose Baskets (23-1) played at the court of 7th ranked EWE Baskets (13-11). Brose Baskets smashed EWE Baskets 83-62. Brose Baskets made 18-of-21 charity shots (85.7 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Brose Baskets especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. International guard Maodo Lo (191-92, college: Columbia) stepped up and scored 16 points and 5 assists for the winners and French Fabien Causeur (195-87) chipped in 18 points and 5 assists. Four Brose Baskets players scored in double figures. At the losing side American center Brian Qvale (210-88, college: Montana) responded with 16 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import swingman Rickey Paulding (196-82, college: Missouri) scored 22 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the eleventh consecutive win for Brose Baskets. Defending champion maintains second place with 23-1 record behind leader Ratiopharm. EWE Baskets lost their third game in a row. They keep the seventh position with 11 games lost. Brose Baskets will play against Bayern Muenchen (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. EWE Baskets will play against SC Rasta Vechta (#17) and hope to get back on the winning track.
