Ninth-ranked Nevezis (6-20) gave a tough game to fourth ranked Neptunas (15-11) in Kedainiai on Sunday. The visitors from Klaipeda managed to secure only two-point victory 72-70. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 23-19 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Mindaugas Girdziunas (188-89) who scored 21 points. American power forward Jerai Grant (203-89, college: Clemson) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks. American guard Jermaine Love-Roberts (188-89, college: Ill.-Springfield) produced 10 points and 6 assists and Serbian forward Ivan Smiljanic (199-89, agency: Octagon Europe) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Five Nevezis players scored in double figures. Neptunas have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 15-11 record, which they share with Juventus.
