No shocking result in a game when ninth ranked Mersin Gelisim (17-14) crushed at home 18th ranked Nevsehir Uni (5-26) 83-46 on Wednesday. Mersin Gelisim had a 34-23 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Nevsehir Uni's players. Quite impressive performance for American center Nadia Parker (191-87, college: USC) who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds (on 15-of-19 shooting from the field). Fatma Bayram (-98) contributed with 12 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Parker is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Center Ozge Turmus (188-92) answered with 8 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and Gozde Albayrak (180-96) added 9 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Nevsehir Uni. Mersin Gelisim maintains ninth place with 17-14 record. Nevsehir Uni lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the eighteenth position with 26 games lost. Mersin Gelisim will face Urla BLD (#12) in Izmir in the next round. Nevsehir Uni will play at home against Orduspor (#13) and hope to win that game.
