TKBL top team - Bornova (30-3) added another victory to their record. This time they beat fifteenth ranked Edirne (11-21) 61-56. Bornova players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The winners were led by the former international guard Esra Sencebe (173-81) who scored that evening 19 points and 7 assists and American forward Shae Kelley (185-91, college: Minnesota) supported her with 8 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists. Even a double-double of 24 points and 14 rebounds by American forward Arhonda Covington (185-85, college: Louisville) did not help to save the game for Edirne. Guard Munevver Basak (168-86) added 12 points and 5 rebounds for the hosts. Bornova have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 30-3 record. Edirne lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth place with 21 games lost. Bornova will play against Yalova Vip (#16) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them.
