Regular Season Round 19: Konjice - Elektra 74-76

A very close game took place in Konjice between Elektra and Konjice. Ninth ranked Elektra (7-12) got a very close victory on the road over 7th ranked Konjice (9-10). Elektra managed to escape with a 2-point win 76-74 on Saturday evening. The guests trailed by 13 points at the halftime before their 45-30 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Elektra dominated on the defensive end, holding Konjice to just 7 points in third quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for Jan Rizman (196-94) who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Sanel Bajramlic (198-85) helped adding 20 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side forward Gasper Sevsek (198-93) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and swingman Kristjan Muzel (194-91) scored 5 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Four Konjice players scored in double figures. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Elektra. They maintain ninth place with 7-12 record. Konjice lost their fifth game in a row. They dropped to the sixth position with ten games lost. They share it with Parklji and Celje. Elektra will meet at home higher ranked Triglav (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Konjice will play against the league's second-placed Sezana having rather not much hope for a victory.
