Rather expected game in Leverkusen where 10th ranked Osnabruecker (7-15) was defeated by seventh ranked SG BBZ Opladen (11-11) 78-64 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by SG BBZ Opladen. Osnabruecker was better in fourth quarter 15-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. SG BBZ Opladen made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Osnabruecker turnovers. Point guard Nicola Happel (164-92) scored 23 points to lead the charge for the winners and Canadian guard Jill Stratton (180-91) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American guard Elizabeth Belanger (178-94, college: New Hampshire) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and Canadian guard Amencie Mercier (170-91, college: Northeastern) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Osnabruecker's coach tested twelve players saving starting five for next games. SG BBZ Opladen moved-up to fifth place in North, which they share with Krofdorf/Gleib.
