Very predictable result in Ankara where ninth ranked Turk Telekom (16-13) defeated 17th ranked Final Genclik (6-23) 111-99 on Wednesday. Turk Telekom forced 20 Final Genclik turnovers and outrebounded them 40-25 including 28 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. Final Genclik was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Americans were the main players on the court. Power forward Darryl Monroe (201-86, college: George Mason, agency: BeoBasket) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and point guard Tywain McKee (188-86, college: Coppin St.) chipped in 23 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals. Guard Anthony Tucker (193-89, college: MSU Moorhead) responded with 22 points and 5 assists and center Damontre Harris (208-91, college: Campbellsville) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Final Genclik's coach Ali Uruk tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Turk Telekom moved-up to eighth place. Final Genclik lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the seventeenth position with 23 games lost. Turk Telekom will face higher ranked Bursaspor (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
