Regular Season Round 27: ALBA - Bayreuth 77-76

The most exciting game of round 27 in the BBL took place in Berlin. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 4th placed BBC Bayreuth (18-7) to fifth ranked ALBA Berlin (17-10) 77-76 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of BBC Bayreuth. ALBA Berlin made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by BBC Bayreuth's players. The best player for the winners was Serbian swingman Dragan Milosavljevic (198-89) who scored 19 points and 5 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Bosnian center Elmedin Kikanovic (211-88, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 17 points. ALBA Berlin's coach Ahmet Caki used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was American Nate Linhart (201-86, college: Akron) who recorded 19 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import point guard Kyan Anderson (180-92, college: TCU, agency: Pensack Sports) added 15 points and 5 assists respectively. ALBA Berlin maintains fifth place with 17-10 record. BBC Bayreuth at the other side keeps the fourth position with seven games lost. ALBA Berlin are looking forward to face EWE Baskets (#7) in Oldenburg in the next round. BBC Bayreuth will play at home against SC Rasta Vechta and is hoping to win this game.
