Regular Season Round 27: Bremerhaven - Fraport SKY 86-79

We should mention about the upset which took place in Bremerhaven, where higher ranked Deutsche Bank Skyliners (11-15) lost to fourteenth ranked Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (8-17) in a road game 79-86 on Friday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Deutsche Bank Skyliners. The game was dominated by American players. It was a great evening for swingman Quincy Diggs (198-90, college: Akron) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points. Point guard Jordan Hulls (180-90, college: Indiana) helped adding 16 points and 5 assists. Four Eisbaeren Bremerhaven players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard AJ English (192-92, college: Iona) with 35 points (!!!) and guard Quantez Robertson (188-84, college: Auburn, agency: Interperformances) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven maintains fourteenth place with 8-17 record. Loser Deutsche Bank Skyliners keep the tenth position with 15 games lost. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven will meet higher ranked Walter Tigers (#13) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Deutsche Bank Skyliners will play against Telekom Baskets and hope to secure a win.
