Very important is a home loss of third ranked Lich II (15-9) against fourteenth ranked Saarlouis/Dillingen (8-17) on Saturday night. Host Lich II was defeated by Saarlouis/Dillingen in a tough game in Lich 72-81. British-American guard Adrian Kuyinu (190-91, college: Missouri Baptist) had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Dutch swingman Chaed Wellian (203-92, college: Tennessee St.) chipped in 23 points during the contest. Four Saarlouis/Dillingen players scored in double figures. The former international Johannes Lischka (203-87) responded with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds and forward Henning Schaake (201-95) scored 9 points and 5 rebounds. Lich II's coach Christian Knaus tested twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Saarlouis/Dillingen moved-up to eleventh place in South-West, which they share with Tuebingen II and Mainz. Lich II at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the fourth position with nine games lost. Saarlouis/Dillingen will play against higher ranked Speyer (#6) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Lich II will play against Tuebingen II and hopes to get back on the winning track.
