Regular Season Round 29: Chemnitz - ETB Wohnbau 88-76

Very expected game when 15th ranked ETB Wohnbau (8-21) lost on the road to third ranked Chemnitz (20-9) 88-76. Chemnitz dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to ETB Wohnbau's 34 and made 16-of-21 charity shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They outrebounded ETB Wohnbau 33-17 including a 25-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Chemnitz players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Chris Carter (195-92, college: Florida Tech, agency: Interperformances) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 assists. His fellow American import point guard Virgil Matthews (190-83, college: Montana) chipped in 13 points and 4 assists. Four Chemnitz players scored in double figures. Power forward Robin Lodders (205-94) produced 16 points (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) and American point guard Ashton Moore (183-93, college: Citadel) added 15 points respectively for the guests. The victory was the third consecutive win for Chemnitz. They maintain third place with 20-9 record having six points less than leader MBC. ETB Wohnbau at the other side keeps the fifteenth position with 21 games lost. Chemnitz's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Titans (#16) in Dresden which should be an easy win for them. ETB Wohnbau will play at home against Oettinger Rockets Gotha and hope to win that game.
