Regular Season Round 20: Sezana - Konjice 89-47

Very expected game when 8th ranked Konjice (9-11) was smashed on the road by second ranked Sezana (16-4) 89-47. The game without a history. Sezana led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Sezana outrebounded Konjice 46-26 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Ziga Kukanja (196-96) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and Milan Kovacevic (200-96) who added 12 points and 15 rebounds during the contest. Five Sezana players scored in double figures. Guard Enej Miklavcic (182-98) responded with 8 points and forward Ziga Srot (-96) scored 7 points. Konjice's coach Slobodan Benic already knew that his team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Sezana maintains second position with 16-4 record having four points less than leader Ilirija. Konjice lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 11 games lost. Sezana will play against Elektra (#9) in Sostanj in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Konjice will play at home against the league's leader Ilirija and hopes to get back on the winning track.
