Regular Season Round 20: Elektra - Triglav 59-117

The game between 9th ranked Elektra (7-13) and third ranked Triglav (12-8) in Sostanj ended with biggest points difference. Guests from Kranj outscored Elektra 117-59. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Elektra. The game without a history. Triglav led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Elektra's 34 and made 18-of-23 charity shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Triglav had a 30-11 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 15 long-distance shots on high 55.6 percentage. Worth to mention a quality performance of guard Tjaz Rotar (185-94) who helped to win the game recording 37 points (!!!) and guard Anze Zdolsek (177-92) who added 23 points during the contest. Jan Rizman (196-94) responded with 13 points and swingman Igor Deskovic (191-85) scored 11 points. Elektra's coach Vladimir Rizman gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Triglav have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 12-8 record having eight points less than leader Ilirija, which they share with Grosuplje. Elektra at the other side keeps the ninth place with 13 games lost. Triglav will play against Celje (#7) on the road in the next round. Elektra will play against the league's second-placed Sezana and hopes to get back on the winning track.
