Regular Season Round 20: Parklji - Crnomelj 74-51

Rather predictable result when sixth ranked Parklji (10-10) rolled over 10th ranked Crnomelj (6-14) in Bezigrad 74-51. The game without a history. Parklji led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Parklji outrebounded Crnomelj 52-33 including a 39-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Ziga Doljak (198-95) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Dejan Mlakar (192-88) who added 17 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Four Parklji players scored in double figures. Guard Matic Lozar (183-92) responded with 9 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international center Ales Kunc (208-73, college: Missouri St.) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Crnomelj's coach Milan Kordic already knew that his team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Parklji maintains sixth position with 10-10 record, which they share with Celje. Crnomelj lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with 14 games lost. Parklji will play against higher ranked Plama Pur (#5) in Ilirska Bistrica in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Crnomelj will play at home against Pingvini (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
